About

LifeStories offers book publication for writers of memoirs and biographies that might not be able to find a publishing home in the traditional book industry. Most trade publishers are seeking memoirs with a “celebrity” factor, and a well-told story from an unknown individual has faint chance of acceptance for publication. LifeStories, an imprint of Stephens Press, LLC, champions the memoir format and the priceless value such an undertaking can provide as a personal endeavor and lasting legacy.

Each manuscript accepted into the LifeStories program receives the full treatment of professional editing and the creative services of award-winning book designers for the cover and interior treatments. Each book also receives a website, marketing materials, and advertising through the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Our parent company, Stephens Media, owns multiple newspapers in many states, including the Review-Journal. For various titles, this provides a unique opportunity for book promotions.

Stephens Press books are registered with the Library of Congress, Books-in-Print, and with all online retailers such as Amazon and Borders.com, and unlike most self-publishing or POD (Print On Demand) service companies, our books are available to bookstores through our national distributor, Midpoint Trade Books, and primary book wholesalers, Ingram and Baker & Taylor.
